IPSY Glam Bag review!!

After being a Glam bag subscriber for the last 10 months, I wanted to give a honest review thusfar.
Overall every single bag has been good. I wouldn't say I LOVED every single bag, but the thrill of not knowing what I would be getting next month, kept me hanging.

What I received in my bag:

Mirabella Prime for Face and eyes
This was the first item I tried out from the bag, and lets just say, my first impression was bad.
Tons of oil came out all over the back of my hand. I'm thinking that it was the product separating, so I shook it up and tried again. It was a more of a solid consistency and gel-like mousse formula. It wasn't too bad. I used it to prime my face and I honestly can't say if it made my foundation last longer, but it DID help blend out my foundation.

Be a Bombshell cosmetics Lipgloss in Hot Mess:
I feel like we keep getting the same kind of lipglosses. Either bright red, or hot pink. I would like to try something out of my comfort zone like a gold shimmer or lilac lipstick. With that being said, I wasn't disappointed with this lipglosses performance. It was pigmented, creamy and long lasting. I even compare it to my MAC Russian Red. In the video I have swatches and even say that they might be dupes. If you look VERY VERY closely at the MAC lipglass, it has tiny fine milled shimmer in it. The be a bombshell is more of a creme.

NYX Ultra Pearl mania pigment in Silver pearl:
These pigments are AH-MAZE-ZING! They pack a punch, they are a great value for your money, they have great shades, and they last forever!
The only dislike I had with this product was that the opening was so tiny and the formula is thick that when you go to tap some out, too much comes out and it becomes a mess, FAST!

Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencils in Zero:
I cannot say enough good things about Urban Decay. I love everything about their brand and their whole outlook on make-up. These pencils provide easy, superb, hassle-free application that lasts all day and will not budge. It lasts through showers, sleeping and a night out on the town. If I had one brand that I could be supplied with for the rest of life, it would have to be Urban Decay.

Mai Coutoure St.Barts Highlighting papers:
The gem of the bag for sure.
These peachy pink papers are sure to please. On my golden skin tone, these come off almost as the Benefit High beam highlighter. I like this one so much more because it has a peachy tint to it that makes it a A+ rating in my book, thus meaning, I would buy these sheets again.
They also offer facial oil blotting papers, foundation powder papers, blush sheets and more! I cannot wait to go to a Nordstroms to see in person their whole line.

Covergirl Clump crusher by LashBlast review!

When I first saw a the preview for this, I knew I had to have it. For a product to boast "clump crusher", they have to back it up...right?
Lets see what this bad boy crushes..
It will either be my clumps or my expectations...

FOTD: Soft Neutral Gold!

Neutral
Hey beauties!!!
I've been getting my house ready for the holidays by adding tons of decor and frilly things. I feel when I do this, it makes it that much more special when the holidays do arrive. Since this is my daughters second Christmas, I am pulling out all the stops to make sure she is so excited for Santa!
Yay! I love the Holidays!

If any of you go to local crafts shows, what do you end up getting?
I am planning on going to a few this year (I go every year) and I usually pick up a personalized Holiday ornament for my family. Its a tradition my mom started by getting us all one each year. She still has all of my ornaments, which I have yet to get from her, But I can't wait to put them up!
I also love going to Julian and getting apple pie and hot chocolate by the cup. Hopefully we will make it up there this year. Last year, we didn't make the time.
I also have my Mother-in-law coming in, for a few days this month. Olivia's Birthday at the end of the month and she wanted to come and visit. I think I will keeping it low key this year, seeing as her birthday is on Thanksgiving day.

October Favorites + My halloween!!

I have gotten alot of questions on everday make-up that I use and some of my favorites.
Many of the items that I have included, I have been using for 6 months or more consecutively.
Some are newer "loves" that I would recommend purchasing.
I have reviews for alot of these products, just follow the links.

Mac Face & Body:
When I first heard about this, I mainly wanted to try it out because it was labeled for face AND body. Meaning you could wear it on blemishes or scars on your body and it wouldn't look too fake and make-up looking and a plus was that it is water resistant. I was really sold when I found out that it not only works for the body, but it was a great foundation also, that could be layered for the desired coverage. Let me not forget to mention that it comes in a 4oz bottle as compared to most regularly sized foundation bottles that come with only 1oz of product.
You can either see this as a negative or minus, being that you have a lot of product, so you must use it pretty regulalry, before it starts to expire.
Most likely I will be doing a full review on this one, but I wanted to state that this is a great purchase. You can build your coverage, its a dewy formula, its breathable, comes in a variety of different shades (olive toned ladies, Im talking to you) and most importantly, you don't look or feel like a cakeface when you wear it.

CoverGirl & Olay Simply ageless Corrector:
The fact that I already did a review on it HERE, and I still use it regularly enough that its a staple in my make-up bag, means alot;
That I didn't get tired of it, nothing compares in my book, its reasonably priced, its perfect for my skin tone, and its small and travel friendly.

Non-creasing, perfect shade for me, hides my bags, and is blendable.
Enough said.
I have a full review on this and its sister product, the concealer, HERE.

Mario Badescu Facial spray:
I was introduced to this when a SA at Ulta raved about it claiming it was better than MAC Fix+.
The fact that she STILL worked for MAC and claims that this was a better bargain and product, had me intrigued. I went home and googled it and lo and behold, take a look at Makeupalleys reviews on it here.
It has a 4.5 rating out of 72 people. Thats pretty darn awesome!
I spray two pumps before my foundation and concealer routine to gently moisturize the skin and again after I apply my contour and blush. This spray is designed with all skin tones in mind but be careful, if you spray to much and have a oily complexion. It will look overly dewy.
I own the Urban Decay Dew me and the e.l.f studio makeup mist & set spray and in my book, this facial spray is better than both. The elf spray I feel really does nothing and the dew me works, however its so dang expensive.  The Mario Badescu spray works just as well and is a whole lot cheaper. If you have a chance to buy it, do it! You won't be disappointed!

NOTD: Wet n Wild Fastdry Silivior!!

This polish has stolen my heart!
There was something missing in my life, and I have found it!
Its wet n wild's Fastdry Silvivor!

                                                          Wetnwild's claims:
Impatience is a virtue. One coat dries in 60 seconds! These vivid, can’t-miss-‘em nail colors come in a no wait formula and apply smooth for streak-free, even coverage. Specially-engineered ManiCurve™ Brush is designed with a flat rod for ideal liquid dispersion and a rounded bristle tip to hug nail curves for perfect application.

Price: $1.99

I own only a very small handful of metallic/ foiled polishes. None have really spoken to me like this one has. Essie actually came out with a recent collection of metallic's and not only the price point, but none of the colors were appealing. This will be the only silver I will ever buy. Hands down.

True to real life colors. On my ring finger I have a gold polish for the tip.

Urban Decay Friends & Family sale/Cherry culture 20% off NOW!!

Y'all know I love me some Urban Decay right?
From their liners to their setting sprays, I seriously can't get enough.

I can't believe I didn't think about sharing this before (last night at midnight it started) but their Friends and Family sale is going on right now.
That's right, head over now, type in code: FFHOLIDAY12 and grab 20% off everything!
That means Holiday sets, new items, SALE items and everything in between.
Offer vaild from 10/9-10/13.

If you caught my HAUL video I did about a month ago, you would know I picked up a couple palettes, lipsticks and eyeshadows. Fully intending on placing another order and lo and behold! Friends and family sale! BINGO.

I think I will purchase the Ocho Loco pencil set ($59, I have been drooling over it ever since I saw its release), The book of shadows Vol III redux, ALL of the 24/7 eyeliners..(LOL, I wish!, at least one though) and a backup of my NAKED foundation (5.0).
Look HERE on Temptalia. She has awesome swatches, price break downs and more.
I think the Ocho loco set is a great buy because I love the Perversion liner already and the different colors will make me experiment more.

Also for those who love NYX, Milani, Ardell lashes, Model in a bottle and all that CherryCulture offers, they are having their 20% off think pink sale right now with code PINK20. Starts Oct. 9th and ends Oct. 14th.

I was undecided in what I would get.
My HG eyeliner is Urban Decay Perversion or Milani Liqifieye liner in black.
In the Ocho Loco set there is 8 liners for basically for $48 (discount applied), thats $6 each full size liner. However, it only comes with one perversion liner and the rest are ones I've never tried before. It also comes with a grindhouse sharpener (which I don't need) and is Limited edition.
For the Milani, its $6 each pencil (with tax), and it comes in the color I want, black.
Both are .04 oz.
See my dilemma?
Then I thought, I really wanted to try different liners from Urban Decay so I guess its decided...

So what are you waiting for, go take a peek!
What are you going to get? Did you already place an order?

Hello Beauties!
How have you guys  been? What have you been up to? Anything exciting? I'd love to know!
.....
Where have I been? I know, I know. I feel like my blog has been lacking lately.
As in posts.
I just have been trying to balance everything here at home, family and events. I used to want to post 4 times a week, but that just isn't happening! I love to blog, so I keep it up because I love it, not because I have to.
Let's face it. I make about 5 cents a year on ads...whooohoo!

My birthday is this month (27th) and I wanted to share what I hauled! Alot of these products were on my To-buy list and the rest were impulse purchases.

Benefit Sun beam Review + makeup storage peak + update on life!

If a product "claims" to have a a glowing effect for me, I am all ears. I like that I can apply a product without having to actually "glow".
It takes the work out of it for me. Hahaha.
I was a self proclaimed NARS Albatross addict for a while being. It was actually my first "high end" buy for me. I even hit pan on my first compact and had to buy a second one (thats rare for me).

I was looking for a "glow in a bottle" that I could use when mixing into my foundation. I love my NARS  but something about the powder accentuating my wrinkles and dry spots, didn't do something for me. Now if they made a cream Albatross?...I'd be all ears...however, that's another venture...
I felt that I needed to search for a cream based highlighter that would be naturally moisturizing and not dry me out even more.
What did I find?....
: Benefit Sun Beam.
A golden bronze complexion highlighter.

Urban Decay NAKED Skin Foundation review, comparisons, swatches + photos!

Looking at the pre-release photos and what this product offered, I couldn't, not try this.
In the beginning, I ignored it as hype and wrote it off as a high priced foundation.
But then...
Then, I took a look at the early reviews and was convinced that I had to form my own opinion so I caved and bought it.
Was I happy? We'll get to that soon enough...;)

Urban Decay NAKED skin is a lightweight build-able foundation that is supposed to mimic real skin. Setting in a Demi-matte formula, it is the best of both worlds. Real skin looking and coverage?
That's what I'm talking about!

 Urban Decays claims:

Coverage without compromise. Our weightless formula blurs imperfections for a flawless finish that feels invisible, but looks professionally retouched.

Naked Skin uses light-diffusing spheres to "blur" imperfections for a luminous, demi-matte finish that feels invisible but looks professionally retouched. Naked Skin is oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, and loaded with nourishing ingredients.
Our range of 18 meticulously calibrated shades use a numbering system to help you choose your perfect match.

Price: $38

Oh, Bahama Mama!!

When you find a good product, you just want to share it with the world right? That's the case for my perfect fit bronzer I like to call, Bahama mama! Plus it is named after a delicious adult drink. Whats not to love?!

I first tried this out when I got the Oh mama palette a while back. I was mainly using it for the Hot mama blush that came in it, but really always looked past the bronzer and translucent powder. Finally, I gave it a go, and Im glad to say I did and I should've slapped some on before, because this stuff is legit!

OOTD; Plaid, is RAD + a look at my July myGlam!

Hi Dolls!
I have been so busy getting ready for my in-laws coming to town, that I feel like I have put blogging on the wayside, which is not intentional, but for the time being, it will have to do.
I have been running around the last couple of weeks, trying to get everything done before they came. We just moved into a new apartment about 8 months ago and I wanted the place to look spotless, put together and amazing so my husband finally hung our HUGE T.V (it was previously sitting on the entertainment center), he put my full length mirror that I bought a while ago ( I love it, its like the IKEA ones), he set up out porch area with chairs, tables, perfect for eating. He's done quite a bit in the las few weeks and I am so pleased! It's nice to LOVE where you live.

Anyhow, my In-Laws just left (tear) and I had an amazing time. Olivia sure does love her Gramma and Grandpa! The giggles I have hea rd in the last few days, make my heart sing. I love family and time with the ones you love is fortune.

What I wore:
Charolette Russe Plaid shirt (my favorite)  //  F21 cami  //  Timberland girls belt  //  Betsey Johnson snake inlay bracelet  //  Seven7 denim  //  A B.S Schwartz  //  Jessica Simpson heels  //  Micheal Kors Metallic tote

Pablo caught me laughing and trying to pose. :D

OOTD: Tan, I am +any suggestions?.....

Being that its been overcast and nasty weather, I wore my new peep toe booties! I know its supposed to be summer, but can some one remind the sun please & Thank you!

I have been trying to think of tons of new tutorials and video ideas for my Youtube channel and so far I have come up with tutorials, DIY and reviews. I probably will be doing hauls and whatnot when I buy things, but does that seem boring to you? I actually just bought a Shellac starter kit by CND that I cannot wait to try out! I had such a good experience with the manicure I got in NYC that I decided to buy my own system. I will save money and my nails have never looked better and stronger! If any of you have the shellac system, any tips would be appreciated. I bought topcoat, base, the curer, alcohol, and dotting tools.
Im going to try and "sandwhich" the nail polish, meaning take a regular nail polish and put it in the middle of the shellac layers.

What I would really like to know is, with my loyal readers, what makes you come back to my site for more? What do you love? What would you like to see more of? Tutorials, hauls, DIY?? I would really like to know so that I can do it more and take notes to what you like. I think as readers you really have say in what I put out and I'd like to indulge you! I would really appreciate the feedback!!

What I wore:
F21 Trenchcoat, F21 cami, BCBG studded crystal ring, F21 necklace, ViGoss denim, G by GUESS Farleigh (you can get them HERE), Ulta polish, Micheal Kors Leopard belt.

Did you notice I always have on red polish? I am loving the ish outta my ESSIE ole caliente. It really makes my tan pop and looks great with all my summer sandals.

Little Miss Olivia kept coming over and lifting her feet, copying me, posing. It was SO funny, so we had to capture it! She loves copying me especially when I'm putting on make-up. I hand her a clean make-up brush and let her "pat her face", while Im doing mine. :)

My In-laws are coming to town and Im super excited! We just saw them a couple of months ago, but its so precious when Olivia just wants to hug and kiss them and gets sad when they leave the room. They live pretty far away so any time that we have to spend with them, is cherished. Family time is quality time!!

What have you been wearing lately that you rock the ish outta? Are you having a heat wave where you live, like I've been hearing about?

MAC Club eyeshadow w/ swatches, photos & dupes!

When I think of duochrome, I think eyelids adorned with fleeting sexyness!
The reason I say fleeting is because whenever you open your eyes, if you use it for a eyelid color and not the crease, it hides when you open your eyes or blink and reappears when you blink or look down. I cannot believe how stunning this is, everytime I use it. The flash of teal with red undertones, makes me want to wear this all over my face and body!!
Haha, I wish that was normal.

OOTD: Floral essence!

Ever since I was young, I have always be attracted to floral prints. I got alot of remarks that it was "older women's clothing", mainly from in highschool when I wore floral button downs and vests. From my blazers to my blouses, it was love. Some might feel it is too "mature" for my age group (22), But I think of it as classy & girly.

What I wore:
Love scene tank / Roomates lace vest (similar one here) / Forever 21 cami / Forever 21 blazer (similar one here) / Seven 7 denim / Pandora bracelet / Rampage sandals (here) / Deux Lux Luella bag

My toe got cracked when I hit it against the bar stool. It started bleeding and cracked almost halfway down.

To be honest, the reason why I do my toes like this is because my left foot, I was born with them growing up, instead of out. Alot of people don't know because I am so confident with it, but you can google other peoples toes if you wanna see it. :) I just don't like them, but I am not going to put fake nails on my skin for them to be considered normal, like other people do. Thats why you will never see my toe nails.

Deux Lux- luella bag, which my review is HERE!

Its amazing to me how much a article of clothing can dress up your whole look. I wore the blazer and my sister said "you look so dressed up".  I knew it was the blazers effect because when I wore the shirt and vest alone, It had no effect. :)

I just ordered my Nikon Coolpix L810 camera so that I can start taking great pictures again (this makes me motivated to review a product) & start making Youtube videos! I've always wanted to do videos to show how I do the looks I do and go over the reviews of products, but it wasn't until recently I actually considered doing it.
Being a stay at home mom is challenging at times because I always have been the working type, so staying at home all day long, and maybe even possibly having money coming in from the ads, would be great. Don't worry, that won't stop me from blogging. I have a love for photography and love to write. There's something about still pictures that shows the beauty of a make-up product better than a glimpse in a video. I can't wait to get my camera and I also ordered additional lighting, lens cleaner, tripod etc, so that I could really throw myself into it. If anyone has experience with Youtube videos, tips for making a great video, monetary tips, or even set-up tips, it would be helpful to me. I would love to do tutorials, hauls, style tips, nails, and more! I feel there's no end to what I can do now!

I had been hesitant because of how mean people on the internet seem. I mean, there's bloggers/youtube guru's out there that are supermodel beautiful and still people find mean things to say to them. I am pretty confident and non-insecure, but hearing all the negative and hurtful remarks, makes me hope I don't start believing some of things they say. Anywho, I already have a Youtube channel set-up, so if you could subscribe, that would be awesome! Look out for my very first video soon! Thank you all for always offering a kind word and being supportive. It means alot. :)

Here's my Youtube channel, if you can subscribe, I'd be honored!!

Also make sure you take advantage of this Heels.com deal. I usually don't post on every little thing that I buy, but this is such a great deal, I would love for you all to be notified. If you love the comfyness of Jessica Simpson heels, the classy and edgyness of Steve Madden, the rocker chic of L.A.M.B, go and buy this certificate right now, or even, just browse and look around and see if you would like anything. You spend $50 for $100 dollar worth of shoes. Whether it's heels, or flats, its an amazing deal! I was just looking at this site a while ago and can't believe this deal is going on. Of course I had to buy TWO!!! One for me and one to gift, but of course Im gonna use the other one. :) Here's the link again because I seriously recommend just checking it out if you love shoes/heels for a great price. Tell me if you find anything! I am looking at the Steve Madden Bolddd heels or the Jessica Simpson Fawnna heels. I can't decide because I literally have 12 pairs of heels in my shopping cart.

What kind of prints do you like? If you have any suggestions on who, on Youtube to watch to get good tips for making Youtube videos, please comment below. I'd love to see who you like and why!

Physicians Formula Happy Booster in Rose w/ swatches + my camera's broken!!!

First off, I have said it, and I will say it again. Physicians Formula has yet to disappoint. I would like to own alot more products, but time will only tell...:)

Description from Physiciansformula.com
Ultra-soft and blend-able blushing powder features a fresh and vibrant mix of blushing tones infused with a pop of color to create a healthy glow.
Multi-reflective pearls provide a soft iridescence to highlight contour and add radiance to cheeks.
Infused with our Happy Boost Blend, featuring Happy Skin and Euphoryl, natural plant extracts which have been shown to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicking the effect of Endorphins and helping protect the skin from environmental stress.
The sweet scent of Violet provides a feeling of joy each time you apply.
 retails around : $13 = 0.24 oz

On the box, it states that this is a "mood boosting blush", meaning it is infused with natural plant extracts that mimic the effect of endorphins, and that's what they mean when they say it creates a happy feeling when worn on the skin: it is scientific!

The Positives:
What I really like about this particular blush is that the hearts are actually popping up, meaning 3D baby!
Like they could've been "lazy" and just over sprayed it with different pink colors & been done with it, but they actually made them different colors and 3D so that it could be more appealing and attractive. After using this a couple of times already, the colors didn't even look like they had been touched or in my case, used. I don't even think, after using this 50 times it will look like I use it. The formula is pretty impressive.
The fact that they included different color hearts (baby pink, bubblegum pink, soft plum) is a bonus because it gives a multi-dimension look without having the flat look of just ONE color.
I also like the look it gives me. A soft rosy glow, without shimmer-bomb-ness.

Application:
I apply my regular make-up and swirl this around and apply. It's that simple. I find that sometimes I need a little more because when I swipe it on my cheeks, It fades out fast. For those of you that like blush to barely barely be seen, then one swirl will be enough, but for me, I like a bold flush of color. If you like the violet smell, then you will love applying this blush. This is the only blush I own that has such a strong scent when applying, but it quickly fades when applied. I like it. I like it ALOT! However, you ladies with sensitive skin might want to be careful with this because of the added perfumes.

Left to Right: (All swatches are Physician Formula brand) Shimmer pearls, Happy booster, and pH adjusting blush in rose.

The Negatives:
-The brush is cute, and in an emergency ( like the other day when I washed all my brushes & left them on the counter to dry, I needed a blush brush but all I had was my fingers, this would have come in handy) this will save you in the blush application process, but otherwise, it's crap. I think it's more for them to be able to say, "yeah, and we added a applicator brush". I also give all my brushes to my daughter to play with. She loves copying me. She's seriously so girly, its scary. Her wrists are so dainty when walking, held slightly poised.

-The main negative I saw, was that the mirror is underneath the blush so every time you go to apply it you have to lift the pan back up to look in the mirror, and if your like me, I mentioned I apply 2 coats, so this is a malfunction in the product designers department.

-Bulky is not cute. This is such a bulky package that I don't like putting it in my make-up case because it takes up unnecessary room. I'd rather have my thinner, sleeker (is that a word?) NARS blushes, than this bulky clunky blush compact.

-Physicians Formula tends to be a higher priced drugstore brand, that might make you want to skip this and save up for a higher end blush. If all these negatives don't phase you, go grab this blush. I stated the negatives, but I still love this blush and would repurchase it for sure.
I have yet to capture a photo of me wearing this blush, but when I do, I will post a photo so that you can see how it's worn and actual color.

Update on posts:
My favorite bright lippie: wet and wild cherry picking

I haven't been posting like I typically do, because my camera is shot. It is stuck in a unfocused state. I have been using the Casio Exilim since I first started blogging and finally all the times it was dropped and water that got on it, made it stop working, Im guessing. If any one has a suggestion to fix it, any would be appreciated. I don't have warranty on it anymore because it is 2 years old already. I might be getting another one soon, but that just depends. I would really like to get a good one, but who knows. I just got the HTC One S from T-mobile cell phone and it has pretty good photo quality, but I like using an actual shoot and capture camera.

Also I entered into the Mary Kay Makeover contest, where I have a chance to win money and money to donate to a charity of my choice. If you all could, please head over to https://www.mkmakeovercontest.com/vote/gallery.jsp.

Please don't laugh, but there is a HIDEOUS "before" picture of me, with minimal make-up on. So viewer discretion is advised!!! You can vote up to 5 times daily, even on just one photo, so please take a second and vote for me! Voting ends June 15, 2012.
I am still testing out products and reviewing them although I don't have a camera, I just have them in my drafts. I have a few older posts that have pictures, so I will get those up for the time being.
On another note. I am looking into buying a Shellac starter kit, from Amazon.com so anyone who is familiar with the CND polish line and has there own kit at home, any tips would be awesome. I got my first Sheallac manicure in CT and I have been hooked since! My nails are so strong and long and the manicure is still going strong, except on my index fingers because I peeled it off.

Ill leave you this photo of my angel, blending in with her zebra blankie...:)
