Influenster box: Schwarzkopf Ultime!!!

I received these products for free. All opinions are my own.

(Will upload photos later)

In my voxbox, I received a pomade, a heat protectant and hair spray. All three products claim to provide crystal shine.

The first product I want go over is the heat protectant.  I currently use one that weighs my hair down and makes it feel oily. This one is lightly scented and sprays with a fine mist. I let my hair air dry and after its dry, I spray my ends. Overall, it didn't make my hair oily, buy it also didn't make it too high shine either. In fact, since it claimed to produce shine, I barely saw any. I would say skip the heat protectant if you are looking for shine.

The next product I wanted to talk about is the hairspray. Usually, I rarely use hair spray. The reason being, again, I just feel it weighs my hair down. My hair gets oily fast so anything that weighs it down, I avoid like the plague. When I sprayed this, the smell was amazing. Not aresol smelling and choking on air.  Very nice mist of smell. Something like a perfume.  I sprayed it and it instantly held the curl. I noticed the stiffness right away. I myself don't like hard curls, but if I use flexible hold, guaranteed my hair falls flat. This held my waves for 6 hours before drooping.

Last but not least was my favorite product, the pomade. Not only is it eye catching ( it has a iridescent shimmer), but the texture is so different than what I'm used to.  This pomade when you rub it between your fingers, it gives and almost wet feeling when you rub and really hold onto all baby hairs. I love this for myself but mostly my daughter. She has frizzy, waved curly hair so when I put it in a bun or pony talk, I like to have all hairs sleek back. This did that and gave a nice perfume smell to her hair that lasted all day. I love this product and will FOR SURE be buying more when we run out.  A plus!

Overall, I'd say, if you want anything, get the pomade.  It's great for baby hairs fly always, ponytails etc. the smell isn't bad at all and I prefer it to the stinky smelling aresol ones.

Thank you so much Influenster. I was happy to review the products. :)

theBalm Balm Jovi Rockstar Face palette Review, Swatches & Pictures!

This palette has everything you need to take center-stage! It features 12 shadows that are sure to top the charts. All of these shadows can be used wet or dry—so “live and wet/dry”…it’s up to you! The head-lining highlighter and blush are sure to set the stage. Sync up your look with “Milly” and “Vanilly”, the two included lip and cheek creams. Balm Jovi is compact and portable, yet it has everything you need to take on tour!

Ever since I first tried theBalm cosmetics, I fell in love. The products, the quality, the presentation, the price (when you catch them on Hautelook or instores at TJMaxx) is all amazing. This is a brand I feel doesn't get the recondition it deserves.

This palette has a good variety of different undertones, both warm and cool. I find myself reaching for the warmer tones personally, because I myself have warmer undertones (yellow). My Favorites are Adagio, Iron Maid-in, Allegro, Blink 1982, and Alice Copper.

Products used from this palette:
Presto for outer and lower outer lid. Allegro for transition color. Solid Golid (also known as Mary Loumanizer) for tear duct. Adagio for brow highlight.
I used Mac's Rose pigment on lid and lower lid.

I used The stroke for outer and inner sandwich sides for upper and lower lids. Solid Gold e/s for tear duct. Allegro for transition color, Chella Indigo liquid liner,

Lips: Essence In the Nude lip liner and Nude Cndy lipgloss.

Metal-ica, adagio, blink 1982, Iron Maid-In, Allegro, The stroke, Lead Zeppelin, Moderato, rem, Alice Copper, Presto, Third eye blinded

From Left to right:

Metal-ica, Iron Maid-In, Lead Zepplin, Alice Copper, Adagio, Allegro, Moderato, Presto,
Blink 182, The stroke, rem, Third eye blinded

Solid Gold, Don't you want me, Milly, and Vanilly

I have been continuously using the palette for a solid year now and I have to admit, its good for all occasions that may pop up. From going to run errands, or going to parties.
Its a perfect palette mix.
I personally love the powder blush (Don't you want me) and highlight (Solid gold) for any type of look. You can even use the Vanilly (red creme pan) and Milly (pinky nude pan) for cheeks since it is a cheek and lip product. I myself have yet to use Vanilly or Milly as a cheek products since I don't use bright red blush or nudes in the first place, on my cheeks regularly.

The size is nice as well. Super slim, medium compact and with magnetic closures. I love throwing this in my bag and going. I just purchased their newest palette, "How 'bout them apples", and this palette is slightly larger.

It also comes with a Large Heart Shaped mirror on the lid. How Convenient!

Another feature it has is a guide to putting the perfect looks together. From beginners to people who want to try something new, its a nice touch.

Overall, Great buy!
I am looking forward to hitting pan soon on my favorite eyeshadows and lip pan (Milly).
The only patchy color was Blink 182, and The stroke. Nothing that you can't work with though.
I would suggest picking this up, even if you have to buy it at full price.

Influenster VoxBox review!

I received items in this post free, for review.
I am writing this from my iPad and will try and upload pictures later. For some reason there's a problem right now.

In my VoxBox, I received a Dr.scholls for her high heel inserts, Suave Professionals Moroccan oil styling gel, Goody tanglefix, Olay fresh effects shine shine go away, and NYC .

I will go down the list starting from the most favored things, to things I would not be repurchasing.
First thing I really liked and can see myself repurchasing is the Dr.Scholls high heel inserts.
These aren't my first pair of inserts from Dr.Scholls. Back in the day when I was working 18 hours a day, these saved my feet! Now on these particular pair, I use them for when I am wearing heels and it really helps take the pressure off my feet. I find that they don't slip and slid like some cheaply made inserts that I have tried.
I wouldn't say these didn't make my feet hurt at all, because come on, your still walking on a heel, but it definitely made it more bearable and more comfortable. I would repurchase for sure.

The next item on the favorable list was the Suave Moroccan oil. I have tried many different oils for the hair, even though, my scalp is naturally oily. I find that with this oil, it does the job and I really like how it's not too heavy for my fine-ish hair.  I also use it for my daughters curly hair and it does wonders. I also really like the smell and being pregnant (yup, I'm pregnant), the smell doesn't nauseated me which is crazy, because everything now is very nauseatingly to me. From my everyday perfumes, to simple smells like oil. This oil is a keeper and I doubt it will be used up anytime soon.

The next product is the a NYC Multi-flects sparkle eye dust in color 882. With this particular product the first thing I loved was the color of it. I actually thought it was a cream before I opened it.   The color is a smokey purple brown. The consistency is a very fine light powder that reminds me much of pigments, but a lot more light in weight and not as oily, if that's the word.  I hated the opening since it's so easy to spill, so I doubt I will repurchase but the color alone makes my green eyes sparkle.

The Olay Fresh effects was actually, I felt, catered to my pregnant skin. Since becoming pregnant, my skin has gone haywire, making way too much oil around my hairline and T-zone, so this product I felt was a big helper. It made my skin feel fresh and clean, however I did experience a couple more breakout in my neck area when I hadn't had those before but I can't entirely blame the cleanser since like I mentioned before, my skin is crazy right now. This is a iffy repurchase for me since I can't see a difference in skin tone, but since it says shine reducer, it did make a difference in my skins shininess, so it's so-so for me.

The last product I am reviewing is the Goody tangle fix brush.  I thought this would be a miracle worker on my daughters hair. Her hair gets tangled fast and I have to brush it out every single day, or it's hell the next day. This brush was horrible for her!!
I'm going to start off by saying this was my experience and it might be different for different hair types.
I start with small sections of her hair, working my way up from the ends to the roots.
I hold her hair so as not to pull it when I am brushing it because I find this helps with the pulling and pain for her. The bristles are not rounded and cause me pain when it hits the skin, so I doubt it felt pleasant on her scalp thus I avoided brushing hard against her scalp area. The bristles are painful.
It's also was pain free. I was very gentle and still she was saying ouch and oweee. She is a trooper when it comes to pain (I swear she's always been so tough) and it was still painful for her.
DEFINITELY NOT A REPURCHASE. I doubt we will even use this one.
The only good things about it were that it is plastic so it can be washed of dust and hair product and the fact that it fits so perfectly in your hand other than that, no good for me.

All in all. This VoxBox was really nice and I enjoyed reviewing them. Thank you Influenster!!

Products in the post were sent for free, in exchange for review and are entirely my own opinions.
